"An enlarged facility with new updated equipment will provide an increased number of special needs trainees and sports people with a wider range of healthy lifestyle fitness options. Suitably qualified instructors will be provided, everyone applying to become users will be accommodated and the informal GP referral scheme, at present, operated will be consolidated into an official scheme encompassing the Physio Department's of local hospitals."
The present facility is situated at the Heywood Community Site, Causeway Road, Cinderford in the Forest of Dean. We are a joint site user along with the Heywood Community School, the Forest of Dean District Sports Section and Gloucester Youth and Community Services. The centre is an internal part of the site. Other sports facilities on site include a swimming pool, squash courts, sports hall for badminton and indoor football and gym hall for martial arts and aerobics.
